Are you a fun-loving, adventurous person looking for the perfect partner-in-crime? Then meet Winston, a sweet, smart and all-around canine athlete who can’t wait to be your devoted sidekick!
Name: Winston.
Age and sex: 3-year-old male.
Size and weight: Large and 70 pounds.
Coat: Short and brindle.
Location: Last Hope K9 Rescue.
Activity level: High.
Likes: Running, walking, playing tug with his human, and cuddling on the couch at the end of a busy day.
Dislikes: Over-stimulating environments with a lot of people and dogs.
Training: Winston has learned a lot of commands since he’s been in rescue, including sit, down, place, look, stand, out, leave it, and heel. He is also house and crate trained.

Yard requirements: Although Winston would love a fenced-in yard, it’s not necessary as long as he gets plenty of exercise.
Kids: Good with dog-savvy children.
Dogs and cats: Winston would do best as an only pet.
Health issues: None.
His story: Winston was transported from Georgia to Last Hope K9 Rescue in April 2013 as a 5-month-old puppy. He was quickly adopted and then returned three months later for being too big and boisterous for his new family.
His ideal forever home: An active and dog-experienced person, couple, or family who can devote their time and energy to providing him with proper structure, guidance, exercise, and love.
Other details prospective adopters should know: Winston is at his best when he can be kept calm. Although too much commotion can over-stimulate him, he has learned to tolerate these situations with the help of a trainer.
