We’re always looking for ways to help rescue animals. We may do it by volunteering at a local animal shelter, fostering rescue pets, running in a dog-friendly 5-K or even buying some chocolate.

But did you know there’s a way to help rescue animals while displaying photos of said gorgeous animals with equally gorgeous men year-round? Well, there is. The RescueMen campaign centers around a 2015 calendar full of men, their rescue pets and the stories that brought the two together. According to RescueMen.org, the “campaign was developed to raise funding for enrichment programs to benefit the homeless shelter cats, dogs and rabbits in New York City.”

Proceeds from the calendars will go toward providing shelter animals with enrichment items such as beds and handmade toys, as well as medial and grooming supplies. These items and supplies, given to the animals via Pillows for Paws and Grandpa Dave’s Creature Comforts, help scared animals – who have been mistreated, neglected or abandoned – become relaxed and stimulated, making them more likely to get adopted.

Animal Care & Control of NYC will receive the bulk of the supplies and items, since they house the majority of shelter animals in the area. Other rescue groups, such as New Hope Partners, will also benefit from the proceeds.
